Consolidation et festivities: 30 years of the Rehazenter

On Friday the 21st of November 2008, in the Mondorf Thermal Domain Ballroom, takes place the party for staff members of the Luxemburg Rehazenter.

In her speech, Mrs Marguerite Scholtes-Lenners, president of the Board of Directors, highlighted the fact that, if 2007 was the year the Rehazenter moved into the new Kirchberg facilities, 2008 was the 30th year of existence of the Rehazenter but also the year of the consolidation of the Kirchberg National Center. The Rehazenter consolidates its position as a hospital for continuous care within the medical landscape.

The festivities and activities for the 30th year of existence of the Rehazenter had a double objective: one was to thank everyone who, during these 30 years, worked for the development and management of the Rehazenter, despite conditions that were sometimes difficult. The other objective was to promote the image of the Rehazenter towards the outside and strengthen cohesion from the inside.

The next events for the 30 years of the center are:

  • Conference on the 11th of December 2008 by Pr. Philippe DECQ from the neurosurgery service of the Henri Mondor Hospital of Paris. The topic will be "Functional Neurosurgery and neuro-handicap"
  • All through December 2008, exhibition of the works of the Rehazenter patients made during art-therapy
  • ALPAPS Special Olympics basketball day on the 6th of December 2008

The director/medical Director, Dr. Gérard GRENOT and the Administration Director, Mr. Patrick REINERT gave presents in reconnaissance for the careers of several staff members, thanking them for their exemplary commitment to the Rehazenter patients.
